Blueberry Compote

MAKES: 5 Servings
PREP/COOK TIME: 15 minutes

  • 1 ½ cups frozen blueberries

  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed orange juice or lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon orange zest or lemon zest

  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger


  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 4 minutes, until the mixture bubbles, pulls away from the sides of the pan, and becomes syrupy.

Storage  Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 7 days or in the freezer for 2 months.
