Go to Vinaigrette
Store bought salad dressings are often laden with calories and preservatives that you don't need or want. This is a quick dressing that takes just minutes to make from ingredients you probably have in your pantry. It tastes fresh and wonderful.
MAKES: 8 Servings
PREP/COOK TIME: 5 minutes
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon Salt
ground pepper to taste
Whisk first four ingredients together in a small bowl to blend.
Gradually whisk in olive oil and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Storage Can be kept refrigerated for up to 5 days. Take out of the refrigerator about a half hour before using.
